Back Handspring and Tumble

Barron’s Back Handspring & Tumbling program is designed to give your child the best learning experience possible with a class that is jam-packed with fun and excitement. Our curriculum includes learning skills and drills leading up to back handsprings, roundoff back handsprings thru more advance tumbling skills. Furthermore, the gym is equipped with state of the art equipment designed to help increase tumbling proficiency. Equipment includes: 2 spring floors, 2 in-ground trampolines, a 30’ long tumble trampoline, large free foam pits, resi-mat, mini-tramps, and an air floor strip.

Creative warm-ups start each class hour to motivate and fascinate children. Lesson plans include return stations to allow for independent learning and movement. All of the students receive exclusive posters to track their progress and educate parents and students about the curriculum.

Classes are led by experienced, professionally trained instructors who emphasize safety, proper form and technique.

Beginner Back Handspring and Tumble

Ages 1st Grade & Older, Co-Ed (1 hour)

This class is for new students or for students who have not completed the Beginner Back Handspring & Tumble program. Students will work the fundamentals of tumbling which include forward and backward rolls, cartwheels, roundoffs, handstands and Back handsprings using lead up skills, drills and specialized equipment.

Intermediate Back Handspring & Tumble

Ages 1st Grade & Older, Co-Ed (1 hour)

This class is for students who have completed the Beginner Back Handspring & Tumble program. Students work on front and back limbers, front handsprings and saltos, back handsprings and roundoff back handsprings using lead up skills, drills and specialized equipment.

Intermediate Back Handspring & Tumble Imae

Advanced Intermediate Back Handspring & Tumble

Ages 1st Grade & Older, Co-Ed (1 hour)

This class is for students who have completed the Intermediate Back Handspring & Tumble program, or for new students who can perform a roundoff back handspring without assistance. Students will work roundoff multiple back handsprings leading up to back saltos, front saltos, aerials and more advanced front tumbling.

Advanced Back Handspring & Tumble

Ages 1st Grade & Older, Co-Ed (1 hour)

This class is for students who have completed the Advanced Intermediate Back Handspring & Tumble program, or for new students who can perform roundoff back handspring back saltos without assistance. Students will work whip backs, layouts, and front and back twisting.
